Privacy Policy

Protecting your data matters to us. Below we explain which personal data we process when operating this app and what rights you have.

2. Hosting

The app is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). On each request, technically necessary server logs (IP address, time, requested resource, browser type) are processed to deliver, secure and stabilise the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Database, sign-in and realtime updates run on Supabase. Both act as processors on our behalf; for any transfer to third countries we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Data we process

• Account / sign-in: your email address and — when signing in via Google, Facebook or Spotify — the display name and optional avatar held there.
• In-event usage: songs you wish (title, artist), votes you cast, display of your first name (only if you choose to) and timestamps.
• Technical data: server logs / IP at the host (above).

4. Purposes & legal bases

• Providing the service (wishing, voting, ranking): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Third-party sign-in: Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.
• Operation, security, abuse prevention: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Sign-in via Google, Facebook, Spotify

If you sign in via one of these services you consent there, and we then receive the basic data above. The respective provider's privacy notice also applies. Alternatively you can sign in with email and password.

6. Song search (Spotify)

Song search queries the Spotify catalogue server-side. Only your search term is sent to Spotify — no personal data about you.

7. Cookies & local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage only (sign-in session, plus remembering a started action and your last visited event). There is no tracking or advertising, so no consent banner is required. See Cookies.

8. Retention

Account and usage data are kept while your account exists or the event is active, then deleted or anonymised unless statutory retention applies. Server logs are deleted after a short period.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection — contact pfeiffer@plive.de. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. No automated decision-making takes place.

10. Minors

The app is intended for people aged 16 and over; younger users should only use it with a guardian's consent.
